During the month of January, current students were finishing the semester, participating in winter sports, competing in a cappella competitions, participating in All County events, and taking exams. Students interested in attending Reynolds next year were applying through the WSFCS online magnet application process. There were 303 incoming freshmen who applied for 150 spaces and 58 incoming sophomores who applied for 20 spaces. The lottery was held on January 26th. At this point, all should know if they are accepted or what number they are on the wait list. Letters were mailed from central office, and Reynolds has emailed all who applied.
During February and March, counselors will work with current students to choose classes for next year. Incoming students who attend a WSFCS public school will register with their current school (but choose classes that are available at RJR). Students who are homeschooled, in private schools, or in charter schools will register at RJR by calling the guidance office (336-703-4146) to make an appointment.
